The Power of a Promise: His Promise of Provision
Pastor Matt Thornton
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NIV – Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Luke 6:38 NIV – “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Takeaway: Christ’s generosity can’t be paid back so we pay it forward!

Questions to wrestle with:
Why does God want me to give?
How much does God want me to give?
What has God promised me if I give generously?
Am I believing in God’s promise to provide in this area of my life?
Giving Weekend November 6-7th, 2021.
I want to invite you to give a full ten percent of one week of your income this weekend to the general fund, Nov 6-7th. If you already give regularly, I am inviting you to prayerfully ask God how much more He wants you to give that weekend. Christ Community Church will be giving ten percent of that week’s general fund to The Timothy Initiative. TTI is a global church planting ministry that raises up disciple makers all over the world. ~ Pastor Matt
