As a church, we will be learning a new Bible study method and meditating on the same passages each day. Our community groups and Bible studies will also be following the same method. The method is called a Discovery Bible Study. This is an easy method to use that has life-changing results. We want to encourage you that if you are looking to grow in your relationship and knowledge of God you will find that and more by engaging in all the content provided in this series. For those who have been studying the bible for a long time, it will take some effort to unlearn previous methods in order to learn this new method. The Discovery Bible Study or DBS is a highly replicable method. It is easy to remember and to teach to others. Millions of people have been around the world have been led to Christ through this method.

A few things to remember before each study:

– Pray for the Holy Spirit to speak to you
      – Stay in the passage you are on (reading the surrounding text further is OK)
      – Remember the Scripture is the authority and we are discovering what it says
      – If you are leading someone else or a group through the study be sure that you are not teaching or answering
all the questions yourself before others have a chance to. You are facilitating the discovery process.
      – Have fun as you discover how wonderful, beautiful, and awesome our God is!

You will need:
      Bible
      Notebook
      Pen
