Why Serve?

One of the best ways to get to know people or to become active in the life of the church is to serve others. When we follow Jesus, He calls us to serve others by using the gifts and talents He has given us. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” God’s gifts empower us to love each other by serving each other!

Serving the city

The Mid-City weekly outreach in the city of Taunton has some opportunities to serve over the summer:
- We are in need of 2-3 people that could help on Saturday morning to pick up food donations in Taunton and bring to the Mid-City location. Requires trunk & possibly back seat space. Breads, Pastries, cookies loaded up from shopping carts the store puts out for us.
- The other needs include helping with the weekly buy from the supermarket/Walmart, messages, set up & takedown, local deliveries in some cases to seniors & others.
- Weekend serving is on Saturday mornings 8:30/9 to 11:30/12

Each of you…

“…should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.  If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.: – 1 Peter 4:10-11
