Church Membership Meeting
The following motion will be voted on at a membership meeting Sunday, March 21st, at 6 PM both in person and via Zoom Webinar. Membership voting will be online through a one time form on Sunday until 8PM EST.
Motion: Christ Community Church is to adopt (assume) the Union Congregational Church’s congregation, property, and assets. Christ Community Church membership authorizes the Board of Elders and the Lead Pastor to proceed with any legal and financial matters in order to consummate the acquisition of real property and assets of Union Congregational Church located at 265 W. Britannia St. Taunton, MA 02780.
Details:
A YES vote would mean that Union Congregational Church gifts all of their property and finances to Christ Community Church. The body of Union Congregational Church would be invited to join the body of Christ Community Church. Union Congregational Church would become a second campus of Christ Community Church. Union Congregational would in essence be adopted by Christ Community.
A NO vote would mean that Christ Community Church does not move forward with any form of adoption of Union Church.
