A Message from Pastor Matt

CCC Family,

Thank you for being faithful to your church family at Christ Community. We are blessed by all that you are doing, praying, encouraging, caring for others, and sharing the hope of Jesus.

By now you know that with the current measures in place to combat the spread of COVID-19 by Federal, State, and local officials we have fully gone digital with all of the ministries. With the recent extensions of social distancing and other precautions this means that Easter weekend will be online as well. As much as I would rather us all be together on Easter, I believe this is a great opportunity for us to reach others with the Hope of Jesus. I am preparing a special message called “Hope Starts Here.” Pastor Bailey and the worship ministry are working on a special time of worship as well. Please pray for these services and invite people to watch from home. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube; Christ Community Church East Taunton.

We are very blessed by technology and equally blessed by those who are embracing it for the first time. Our community groups, care groups, teams, staff, Radical, Fearless and others are connecting weekly on video chat. Kid Connect is providing great content on Facebook groups and through email throughout the week. We held our first webinar on finances and look forward to continuing the webinar series “In Times Like These.” On Thursday, April 2nd, we are having an interactive Prayer and worship night. We are continually seeking ways to care for you and our community. We are all in this together and will get through it together with the strength of the Lord.

So many people have donated food and toiletries to our Blessing Boxes, and we have begun to distribute to people in need. We have a care team that is food shopping, delivering items, and caring for people. We are providing food shopping services for two elderly housing complexes in Taunton.

We know that God is moving in many hearts through this time and people are seeking Him. We have been praying as a church for people we know that they would give their life to Jesus. In fact, we have over 1,500 names on the wall of your family and friends. Many of the people are going to give their life to Christ during this time and Jesus is going to use you to lead them to Him.

Thank you for your continued financial support of the ministry of CCC. We are wisely stewarding the finances here at CCC and only spending on the essentials. We want to continue to provide financial assistance to those in need in our church family in the community. We also know that generosity is the cure for anxiety in our finances. Faith in God as our provider allows us to give freely, knowing that He promises to continue to provide.

If you know of someone in need please contact the church at christcommunity@cccfamily.com

We could not be more grateful for all of you! Praying for peace and health for you all.

His Kingdom Come,

Pastor Matt & Staff
