Kid Connect is now open for Grades 1-5 during the 9 & 11 services on Sundays!

  • Kid Connect at Home will continue with a weekly Bible Story Video from The Gospel Project and Activity Pages.
  • Activity packs will still be available at in-person services in the sanctuary but there will not be a Kid’s Minute.
  • We are starting with grades 1-5 for Kids Church and we will evaluate adding other ages in the future.

Yes, kids church will look different but it’s still going to be great and we are so exited to get started! You’re children’s spiritual growth and safety are our top priority!

What to Expect at Kids Church

Where do I park? The Kids entrance will now be located at the Main Entrance of the sanctuary at the back of the building.

What do I do when I arrive? Everyone is asked to check in before entering the building. A Connect team member will be there to greet you and check you in. If you are a first time visitor, you will be asked to register to check in. There is a list of health check questions that are asked to ensure the health and safety of everyone entering the building. These questions include:
  • Have you had or do you have any symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 7-14 days? (Fever, shortness of breath, tightness in chest, etc.)

  • Have you recently been in contact with anyone who has had or currently has Covid-19?
  • Are you at-risk or live with anyone who is at-risk?

Wellness Policy:  Masks should be worn in the building at all times unless for a medical reason. We ask that you observe social distancing as well as practice proper hand washing and disinfecting as appropriate. Should you or your child be sick, have symptoms of a cold, or have been exposed to COVID in the prior 7-14 days, we ask that you watch church from home until it is safe to return to in-person gatherings.

What do we do after we check in? Kids who will be attending Kids Church will receive a name tag and parents will receive a claim tag with a unique ID of letter/numbers that will need to be shown when you pick your child(ren) up at the end of the service. If your child requires medical attention or is distressed, the unique claim ID code assigned to your child that day will be displayed on the sanctuary video screen.

Where do we go? After check in and receiving the tags, parents and children will be shown into the sanctuary foyer to the Kids Church check in located at the top of the gym stairs. Parents will drop off their child and they will be brought by a volunteer into the gym into a classroom. Parents will go directly to the host desk to be seated for service.

What will my child be doing? Each classroom has been set up with chairs and tables spaced 6 ft apart with family units sitting together. Our lessons are a combination of video and teaching. Each child will have their own sanitized box of supplies that will be disinfected between services.

Who will be with my children? All Staff as well as Children’s and Youth Ministry volunteers are trained in our safety protocol procedures for both fire and intruder situations and have passed a background check. In addition, volunteers must provide two character references (both of which must be CCC members if the volunteer has attended CCC for less than 6 months). There will be a teacher in each classroom along with 1-2 “helpers” and hallway monitor.

How do I pick up my child after service? 1 parent/caregiver with the claim tag of the child(ren) will exit to the sanctuary lobby and go down the gym stairs by the Kids Church check in. No other entrance will be open. Parents will enter the gym and line up socially distant along the stage while children are lined up on the other side. Once a claim tag has been shown to the teacher, the adult & child may exit only out the door labeled “Exit” This exit will lead outside of CCC on the back patio.

What happens in an emergency? In the unlikely event of an EMERGENCY EVACUATION, we ask that parents/guardians DO NOT pick up their children.  Staff members and volunteers have been trained and instructed on how to quickly evacuate the children from the building.  All children in kids church will be escorted to the gazebo in the back parking lot and will be released to their parents once the fire personnel indicate it is safe to do so.

What is the Snack/Food and Drink Policy?  At this time there will not be any food/drink available during Kids Church. A parent can send a child with a water bottle if needed.

What are some additional measures you are taking? There is one entrance and one exit for Kids Church. Drop off is at the sanctuary lobby. Parents pick up in the gym. Tables and chairs are spaced 6 ft apart. Families are sitting together. We are collecting info for contact tracing but not sharing your info. There is 1 teacher and 1-2 helpers per room/per service only. There is no sharing of materials during class.

Upward Sports

*Upward Sports at Christ Community Church is on hold due to Covid-19 and MA “high risk” sports guidelines. Upward Basketball & Cheerleading takes months to plan and coordinate and we are unable to determine at this time if we will be able to hold the 2021 season. Please check back periodically for updates.*

Please continue to pray for your neighbors, communities, MA, the USA, and the World!
