Ministries for Women and the She Speaks Initiative Results
We are excited about the future of ministries for women at Christ Community Church! Thank you to the women of CCC who participated in the She Speaks survey and Conversation Groups. We learned from your insights and want to update you on some of the needs that were identified through the initiative.
There were many ideas expressed through the She Speaks process, but here are four of the main takeaways that we learned from you, the women of CCC:
- We heard that the women of CCC desire to be more connected; they want to share their life journeys with each other.
- We heard that our women are looking for more opportunities to get to know each other in unstructured settings.
- We heard the desire for stronger communication connecting women to these opportunities.
- Finally, our women voiced the need to have a visible women’s leader who can shepherd and spiritually equip the women of CCC.
We have already implemented some First Steps to meet these needs through new and existing ministry opportunities:
Women Only Community Groups – We have created several women-only Community Groups, which meet throughout the week with both day and evening times. To sign up for one, please contact the CCC office.
Other Women’s Groups – Groups such as a Mom’s group (childcare included!) on Tuesday mornings (2nd & 4th week of the month), a Mommy and Me Pilates class (every Monday 9:30-10:30), as well as monthly Women’s Prayer Walk Group at Massasoit State Park, are just some of the current groups available.
CCC’s website – Communication has been improved with use of our website at CCCFAMILY.com. Events are posted on the master calendar with details available by clicking on events. There are specific sections for Women’s Ministry and for Community Groups. Please go online and check out the great new changes.
We are just getting started! Our future includes a long-term plan for a comprehensive Women’s Team that will bring all aspects of ministry to women together.
Our hope is for every woman at CCC to have a clear pathway to authentic community, to learn to live like Jesus, and to be equipped to use their God-given gifts to help others do the same.
It’s an exciting time for the women of CCC. Please be in prayer for the leadership as we move ahead in days to come!
