Stevens Street Furnishings Update

We need 500 sanctuary chairs for our worship services.   So far we have enough chairs for about 200 people!   Thanks to all those who have already given towards this need.   Please pray with us that God will provide for this last challenge in raising approximately $70,000 to provide the chairs and sound equipment needed as we get close to moving in at Stevens Street!!

Special Congregational Meeting

There will be a special business meeting on September 19, 2010, at approximately 1:00PM following the third service.  The purpose of the meeting will be to vote on adding a new Article of Faith to the CCC Bylaws regarding marriage and sexual purity.  The Elders are proposing to add the article listed below as Article 9 – Marriage & Sexual Purity, and amending the current Article 9 – Last Things, to become Article 10 – Last Things, with no change in wording. Copies of our current articles of faith are available in the foyer. If you have any questions please contact any of our elders.

Article 9  - Marriage & Sexual Purity

We believe that the sacrament of holy marriage is biblically ordained beginning with Genesis 2:24 as being between a man and a woman.  It is also referenced by Christ in Mark 10:6-9.  We believe the biblical standard for all sexual relations is only permissible in the context of holy matrimony

1 Corinthians 7:2-6.  All sex outside of marriage is sexual sin and all sexual sin is considered serious including all forms of adultery, pornography, homosexuality and all other immoral perversions.1 Corinthians 6:12-20.
