Wellness Policy: Masks should be worn in the building at all times unless for a medical reason. We ask that you observe social distancing as well as practice proper hand washing and disinfecting as appropriate. Should you or your child be sick, have symptoms of a cold, or have been exposed to COVID in the prior 7-14 days, please watch church from home until it is safe to return to in-person gatherings.
Where do we go? After checking in outside, parents and children will be shown into the sanctuary lobby to the Kids Church check in located at the top of the gym stairs.
How do kids check in to Kids Church? Kids attending Kids Church will check in and receive a name tag and parents will receive a claim tag with a unique ID of letter/numbers that will need to be shown when you pick your child(ren) up at the end of the service. If your child requires medical attention or is distressed, the unique claim ID code assigned to your child that day will be displayed on the sanctuary video screen.
Parents will drop off their child and a volunteer will bring your child to their classroom. Parents will go directly to the host desk in the lobby to be seated for service.
What will my child be doing? Each classroom has been set up with chairs and tables spaced 6 ft apart with family units sitting together. Lessons are a combination of video and teaching. Each child will have their own sanitized box of supplies that will be disinfected between services.
Who will be with my children? All Staff as well as Children’s and Youth Ministry volunteers are trained in our safety protocol procedures for both fire and intruder situations and have passed a background check. In addition, volunteers must provide two character references (both of which must be CCC members if the volunteer has attended CCC for less than 6 months). There will be a teacher in each classroom along with 1-2 “helpers” and hallway monitor.
How do I pick up my child after service? Parents/caregivers with the claim tag of the child(ren) will exit to the sanctuary lobby and go down the main stairs to pick up at classrooms. Volunteers & staff will be in the hallways to help direct you. Once a claim tag has been shown to the teacher, you and your child(ren) are asked to follow the exit signs to the back patio. We appreciate your cooperation to have one way traffic in the hallways.
What happens in an emergency? In the unlikely event of an EMERGENCY EVACUATION, we ask that parents/guardians DO NOT pick up their children. Staff members and volunteers have been trained and instructed on how to quickly evacuate the children from the building. All children in kids church will be escorted to the gazebo in the back parking lot and will be released to their parents once the fire personnel indicate it is safe to do so.
What is the Snack/Food and Drink Policy? There will not be any food/drink available during Kids Church. A parent can send a child with a water bottle if needed.
What are some additional measures you are taking? There is one entrance and one exit for Kids Church. Drop off is at the sanctuary lobby. Parents pick up in the gym. Tables and chairs are spaced 6 ft apart. We are collecting info for contact tracing but not sharing your info. There is 1 teacher and 1-2 helpers per room/per service only. There is no sharing of materials during class.
