Sunday School

Kid Connect children’s ministries uses Lifeway’s “The Gospel Project” for our preschool through middle school Sunday School curriculum to provide relevant and engaging gospel-centered worship, storytelling, small group activities and prayer.

All facets of our program are designed to connect kids with Jesus, His Church and God’s Big Story.

Parents are encouraged to reinforce what their children are learning at home by using a variety of tools and resources offered through Lifeway’s curriculoum, the Lifway Kids App, as well as our Kid Connect Facebook page.

Fearless Youth

Fearless Youth is a midweek group for 3rd – 5th grade children.  We meet on Wednesday evenings, October through May, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at CCC’s 516 Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton location.

At Fearless Youth, boys and girls learn how to fearlessly live out their faith in a secular world by digging deeper into scripture and practically learning how to apply it to their everyday lives by exemplifying Jesus’ love through their words and actions.

Kids are encouraged to invite their friends!

Child Dedications

Christ Community Church is committed to do all in our ability as a church family to raise every child up in the ways of the Lord. Dedicating your child is an important part of this commitment.

Child dedication dates are offered on set weekends throughout the year. The Child Dedication date options for 2019 are:
      March 9th & 10th
      June 8th & 9th
      September 14th & 15th
      December 7th & 8th

We kindly request that all application requests be submitted 3-4 weeks prior to your requested child dedication date.

When you dedicate your child, you are entering into a covenant with God, your church family, and with your child. Christ Community Church takes this dedication very seriously, and therefore adheres to certain guidelines when entering into this covenant with you and your child.  Please download the attached form to read these guidelines and/or to submit an application for a child dedication.

SAFETY PROTOCOL AND WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR FIRST KID CONNECT EXPERIENCE

First time attendees and guests are asked to register your infant through 8th grade child(ren) at the Welcome Desk in the Kid Connect foyer.  Parents and children will be escorted to the classroom(s) by a Kid Connect staff member or volunteer.

Children will receive a name tag and parents will receive a claim tag with a unique ID of letter/numbers that will need to be presented when you pick your child(ren) up at the end of the service.  If your child requires medical attention, a diaper change or is distressed, the unique claim ID code assigned to your child that day will be displayed on the sanctuary video screen.  Please go directly to your child’s classroom to attend to his/her need.

In the unlikely event of an EMERGENCY EVACUATION, we ask that parents/guardians DO NOT pick up their children.  Staff members and volunteers have been trained and instructed on how to quickly evacuate the children from the building.  All children (infant through 8th grade) will be escorted to the gazebo in the back parking lot and will be released to their parents once the fire personnel indicate it is safe to do so.

ALL Children’s and Youth Ministry volunteers are trained in our safety protocol procedures for both fire and intruder situations and have passed a background check through Volunteer Select which is a national background check service.  In addition, volunteers must provide two character references (both of which must be CCC members if the volunteer has attended CCC for less than 6 months).

Wellness Policy:  Please do not bring your children to our classrooms or nursery if they have been sick within the last 24 hours or have yellow or green mucous (funny nose).  If your child has had an infection, please make sure that they have been on antibiotics for 24 hours before bringing them into the classroom or nursery.

Snack/Food and Drink Policy:  Please do not allow your preschool, elementary or middle school children to bring food, snacks, or candy into their classrooms.  In general, we do not provide snacks for kids, however, oftentimes we offer small lollipops as incentive rewards for children bringing their Bibles to class.   In the event a special snack is being served in your child’s class, there will be allergy alert posters posted at the Welcome Center and/or in your child’s classroom.  (NOTE:  gluten/dairy free cookies are available for toddlers and there is bottled water available for children in all classrooms).
